Welcome to the June edition of the RSAS Newsletter. Training is starting to ramp up with many workshops scheduled over the coming months. Training is important, it helps you build your existing skills and learn new ways to perform your role and improve school attendance. If you want to know more about accessing training for yourself of your staff, please click here. Thank you to providers and staff for working with NESA and PM&C on aspects of the training strategy including training unit preferences and locking in training dates.
In many of our RSAS sites school holidays are approaching. This is an important time to start reminding parents, carers and students about school term dates- making sure that everyone knows when school starts back. It is also a good time to start thinking about back-to-school activities. Some of the learning from this month’s webinar on ‘Goal Setting’ such as the setting of SMART goals, may assist with forward planning for the back-to-school push. If you have good ideas or good news stories these school holidays, please contact your local PM&C team, and feel free to send photos.
It’s been an excellent month for the RSAS NESA team. We successfully delivered three Clustered Leadership Workshops in Toowoomba, Darwin and Cairns. Overall attendance was high and feedback received was very positive. The first of 56 tailored local workshops was launched in Cherbourg which was well received and praised by the participants. The NESA RSAS team coordinated an excellent webinar, Goal Setting for a More Successful Day, delivered by Rebecca Herbertson, a highly experienced facilitator. We are currently scheduling Train the Trainer and tailored local workshops across the country. Our first Train the Trainer workshop will be on 11 July in Tennant Creek.
