Welcome to 2017! We are happy to bring you this year’s first issue of RSAS NEWS! Many RSAS schools have reported a great start to the new school year with many fantastic events kicking off the year contributing to high attendance rates. As an example, the photo below of RSAS staff preparing for a sausage sizzle was taken at the hugely successful ‘Back to School’ Family Fun Day for Woorabinda State School in Queensland. If you get the chance, please have a look at their Facebook page here.
NESA is excited to continue our support of RSAS providers throughout remote Australia. Over the last three years we have successfully delivered 167 local workshops which have been attended by over 1800 participants. We recognise how important it is to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait students to attend school and equally how important the roles are that RSAS workers fulfil every day.
